Laetitia's Diary
Saturday, March 28, 2009

woke up really early today. 8am plus i think. and i went Pasir Ris Park with Mei Jing. but our plans (supposedly meeting her at 1130 at the MRT there) immediately altered after my shower.
my dad borrowed $100 (and my mom $50) from me. Okay, so they needed help, and i extended the help to them (i mentioned this is because my birthday is coming soon but after giving away some cash and paying my bills. darn~ what birthday is this? sigh). and my dad offered to drive me to my destination. so we picked Jing (from west, to central, then to east~) up on the way to Tampines Mall to collect the tuna and egg mayo for the bread. but when we reached, the staffs were saying that the driver missed out my things or something like that. so i called Wendy and Jack to verify. alot of things happened then and i dont know how to put them in words so i'll just say we left without getting the mayo and took a taxi over to Downtown East. i bought a Subway sandwich while Jing got herself a meal from Burger King. we walked our way to the park and settled down under a low tree. we ate and chatted under the shade, enjoying the breeze and freaking out by all sorts of insects that fell from everywhere. hahaha.. i got a hard time listening and talking as Jing got a little paranoid about the bugs appearing out of nowhere. :p

then we were playing reversi. again, we werent really paying attention to the game as there were really alot of colourful insects and they looked.. eewww.. (lol) green, orange, red - you name it. and they got the oddest shape neither of us have encounter before. so i lost the game in the end (bad excuse i know! hahaa..). and we fled right after our game as we decided not to mingle around these creatures anymore (thinking of it now still freaks me out, eww~).
Jing's into all sorts of candid shots nowadays. so she was taking my pictures while i played. i tried to take hers, but she deleted them all. reason being: either she placed her pieces on the board too quickly which left me no time to aim and shoot, or the position she sat was outrageously funny. see? there's so much black; we dont even have to count to know the results.the toilet in the park was... eewwww (again!) LOL~ the floor was wet with traces of sand, but Jing said it looked more like sewage water. guess i'm not really an outdoorsy person. hur~see the mirror?? so many spots~ i dont even dare to step into the cubicle. so we went to the rental shop to get our bicycles. we took the 10 dollars for two hours and started to ride away. Then suddenly Jing just followed some random rider in front of her and turned away from our path. i stopped and looked at her back, waiting for her to realise that i'm gone. LOL~ and she did. she was laughing away while dragging her bike with her to my side.we came to the end of the pathway when we stopped and decided to take more photos. one, two.. slap! Jing spotted a mosquito on my leg. she apologised for her sudden action and hard slapping, and before i could react.. slap! slap!! oh.my.god. this area was infested with mosquitoes!! there were suddenly SO many of them; we fled the scene. hahahah... we stopped somewhere finally and began to look over our legs. it was so damn itchy i nearly tear off my skin! urrgh.. i truly hate mosquitoes~!after one cigarette (only me; she dont smoke), i felt slightly better and i decided to use the self-timer. and the results were splendid. firstly, it was like a shot taken by others (not some closed-up shots like the previous). secondly, we could sit around and fulfill our "picnic" feel through these pictures. :pAfter our cycles, we went around looking for a bathroom. it was shit. there was nothing in sight. then i got a little bit frustrated; i'm so sticky and wet and i hate that feeling. urgh! anyway we were thinking of going to a nearby swimming complex just for the use of their bathrooms when we finally found it. refreshed from our showers, we headed back to Tampines Mall for our dinner and to collect my mayo filling. ate at Phin's steakhouse where i had my ribeye and Jing settled for some honey-grilled chicken. by the time we finished, it was late and we were quite exhausted. so it's time to go...

took a few more pictures in the train and Jing dropped off at Paya Lebar to take a bus ride home. and i slept all the way to Jurong East. i was dead beat. literally sleep-deprived. but i totally enjoyed myself. i think i like the conversation part the most. if you still havent notice, i'm a chatterbox. and i love catching up with friends. *wink*

*lights out* sores and aches all over my body; i'm getting old. *pout*

so Alan accompanied me to Singapore Press Holdings to get my cheque from Stomp!. reached around 1.50pm (Denise told me to meet her at 2pm) and waited until 2.30pm before she answered my call.

w.o.w one thousand dollars... :D
