AMK Hub with Ying - 9th November 2008

I'm running late. Alan stayed overnight yesterday, and seeing him in pain, i had let him take the cab first so that he could quickly get home. Where is the best place to be when you're in pain? Your home :D

When i saw her at the Taxi stand, she was saying i did put on weight right? and my response was," Huan Ying, you're always like that! Are you trying to humiliate me? If you are, then what am i?" She laughed, saying she doesn't mean that, but compared to last time, she did put on weight. Oh well, she's tall, so as long as she did not put on too much weight, it wasn't obvious, really. After she had eaten (okay, i don't know why my mum suddenly cooked lunch today), we went to shop around abit. There were two shops there which were really worth shopping in. They sell really cute, unique and weird stuffs, i hoped to buy every single thing. hhaha..

Then before we find somewhere to sit and have a drink, she brought me to NTUC, which might sell those mini fan which you can put it on your office table. This present is for Wendy, since the baby fan she bought at the carrefour fair wasn't really working quite well for her. Her birthday is on the 18th, which means she's three days older than my brother.

Went to S-11 for drinks. Why there you would ask? So that we can smoke there of course. hhaha..We chatted and smoked ALOT. Talked about practically everything under the sun. Her life with Albert (she said they have been together for nine months. that's great!), my life with Alan, our jobs, friends, families, and plans for the near future. Felt like we had been transported back to our secondary school years. All the chattings, laughing, smoking and plannings..Which set me thinking, how time flies. We had come to know each other for 6 years already. Maybe a few years down, we would have attended each other's wedding. :p

Without knowing, the sun set down for the day. It was nearing 7pm i think. I brought my cameras (polaroid and digital) out, but no pictures were taken, not even using handphones. So i insist that we took a picture together using the polaroid one so that she can bring one home too. That end our day. I was glad we find time to meet up though. It was fun, reminiscening and savouring the past and wowed at how experiences, good or bad, bring us to what we are today. I love gatherings, how about you?

Straits cafe @ Rendevous Hotel - 8th November 2008

Met Lijun and Pinjie straight at Rendevous Hotel. Oh well, it's at the same place when we first met for dinner (we ate at the Coffee Club that time) and I was telling Alan they sure loved Dhoby Ghaut area alot. Anyway, they were treating us to the High Tea Buffet there, so the word "buffet" already captured my interest. Yes you got it right: I LOVE FOOD.

The moment we sat down, the "cups" they used caught my attention. It's a very beautiful clear blue. If only i could bring one home...

Cold Tofu. I loved tofu, cold or hot!The "highlight" (in my opinion) of the whole buffet. They served it freshly enough and it's quite a big portion, compared to Sakae Sushi. If I did not remember wrongly, these drumsticks were the only food Alan ate that day. I kept taking food and asked him whether he wanted to share or not, but he only knew how to shake his head and at the same time scrunched up his face. Well, you missed good things that way. These tarts are worth mentioning. I ate this two, then i went back and take FOUR more. Big-eater eh? hhaha..Lijun started taking all kinds of desserts and i was thinking at that time huh? That's it? Then she said there's no rule saying we couldn't take desserts whenever we like and yeah, that's true..Finally i fished out my handphone (my loverboy forgotten to bring the camera out) again and started to take human instead of food. :p That's Pinjie and Alan. Alan's eating a slice of papaya.Alan and Lijun take a shot at each other. I was telling Alan that her face was blocked, and he said that's the main purpose. Huh? Can anyone explain again? Then it's our turn. Okay i know, my eyes are small..My BEST shot that day. I loved him that way. :DThat cheeky guy. Alan did not even taste the dessert he's holding in hand and yet gave it a thumb-up. This world has changed man, drastically. This was the second best shot. Believe me, I'm ma ultimate Zi Lian Kuang. Love taking my own photos. :p But this was Alan's work, not me!Okay, i admit, this is like damn retarded. My eyes hanging~That chubby cheeks had been haunting me since secondary school, when will they ever go away?!The dessert that i took, just for photo-taking. hhahah...After eating,we went to the toilet. And i did a very very dumb action after i came out from the cubicle: I pressed the tap and blushed when a woman beside me just place her hand under the tap. Argh!! How stupid can a person get!!! When we were out waiting for Lijun, I saw this public phone nearby and took this shot. Wanted more pictures to put up here. Then we set off to Cineleisure. They didn't plan for any movies today and I can tell Alan wanted to hang out longer, that's why Alan ask them whether they had been to the 9th storey where you can book a room and watch their DVD there. On our way, Pinjie met his colleague i think, and they chatted while Alan and i walked around for my brother's present. Then Alan saw his ITE friends at the UOB roadshow. His friend was being so bad, he actually told me," Ni yue lai yue ZHONG le." which means I'm getting fatter literally. Thanks for the comment.

We reached and booked a room for $5.50/hr and a DVD for $6, i think. But then i remember that the guy over the counter was saying $20+...? Never mind me. I've gotten short-term memory.

There's two more computers at the left side, but since we only used the TV...
Bee Movie. A hilariously lame show. hhaha~ Till now i still can remember how lame it is.
We left afterwards. Said we will meet up again sometimes, probably around Christmas or so. Then Alan and I went Tangs since Lijun told me earlier that Tangs had sales on bags. And then came the best part. I spent $45 for a key-chained pouch and $29 on a key-chain for cars (this is for my brother 25th birthday), both from Guy Laroche. Paid $59.20 as there was a 20% deduction. Then saw a Elle bag in gold, but was the last one on shelf but there were some tiny defects but i bought it anyway. That's for my mum, which cost me another $111.20 after the 20%. And then, we went back Cineleisure again.
I was so damn tired already, but i understand Alan was so tired at being cooped up at home so...we watched
The Coffin. I got a fright at the most non-scary part: When Karen went up front, weeped and covered her face with her left hand, she placed her right hand right at the side of the coffin (it was opened, not closed) then the guy in there suddenly touched her hand. hhahah!! Alan laughed at me also. That's the only main part. The rest of the movie was smooth for me, but not Alan. :p

Meeting Huan Ying tomorrow at AMK Hub. Will talk about it more (:

I clicked on the internet but my eyes was on the TV. When i finally looked back at my lappie, this headline on MSN.com captured me:

White Tigers kill Singapore Zoo worker

Well, not really. 1st, he's Malaysian. 2nd, he's a cleaner there, not a keeper. but, the fact remained. He died. He was attacked at 12.15pm and when the paramedics arrived at 12.45pm, they pronounced him dead. Sad isn't it? Something like that happened. I loved white tigers. They had beautiful blue eyes which i hoped i have them. :p

Read the exact report here: Man dead in Singapore Zoo tiger mauling

Meanwhile, let's pray for world peace. Yeah, like real.

Night Safari (Halloween Themed) - 1st November 2008

Woke up quite early today, and was to meet Alan at 2pm at CCK MRT so as to take a bus to Zoo. You know, to save cost. However, I was buzy bathing Cherry and combing her hair so ended up i was the one late. Took a taxi over immediately and we went straight to Zoo in that same taxi. Great~

Reached around 3pm plus, and rushed our way to the amphitheatre to catch the elephants' show. These were our "results" on the way.
Very cute Otters, right?
The "thing" that is surfaced is the nose of the crocodile. Believe me, it's much much more clearer up close. This waterfall makes me think about Tioman again. Can you tell it's splashing water to the audiences using its trunk.Saluting~Kangaroos.My most favourited animal in the Zoo. Giraffe!!A new thing there. Boat ride took about 30 minutes but there's only two docks.Ferocious white tiger.Fat, lazy Hippo. Like me.Alan waved the plastic bag at the zebra and it worked as well as it did on my dog. haha~Guess what's that? It's the "output" of those rhinoceros. Yeah, cool.Took one last look at these cute otters swimming. Was out and smoking outside. Wonder why he closed his eyes? He was feeling quite sicked at that moment. haiz...I wanted to take picture with that woman in that hat, but there were so many people surrounding her~ Then this woman passed a pair of chopsticks to a woman and started to open the covers on the dummy steamers. Then the last one (which is also the biggest one) out came the woman with the hand stretching out! Alot of poeple screamed out of surprise. haha~The fries were delicious. Crispy and salty enough.Antique lamp. Nice!! Thought of smuggling home with me, but on the second thought...paying a fine or going to jail for a lamp? hmm...can't take the risk. The important figure in my life. In another word, my "punch-bag". :pShe looked quite scary with that greenish green make-up.Cutie vampire. Especially that two red patches!! hahha~The first part was focused on the animals of course (we're at the Night Safari for heaven's sake, not a real Halloween party) and this following picture was the start of the route to "hell". Did not managed to take any pictures of those cute animals while on the tram as it was simply moving too fast for me to aim and take. The head in the jacket is real. And when he jumped out everyone was screaming their heads off. This was the best shot of that night! Boy, was i glad.Look damn fat here lor. zzzz...While waiting for my dad. He came to fetch me because I helped him win lottery. That night i didnt had my specs on while watching tv so i said 3092 when the car in that show drive by. And he saw 3852 instead (damn, is my eyesight getting worse?). He bought both and won. Congrats man.
Daddy sent him back and we went home. It's quite memorable really. Well, i think, it all boils down to who you are with, why you are doing this, and where you are going. Lights out.
