Then Wendy and I took 133 to Suntec, as i assumed it's nearer to walk from there. Once we reached Suntec, we walked around like some tourists who got no clue where they were heading. I then asked a security officer, and he said to cut across Millenia Walk and we would reached after a 5-6 minutes walk. MY FOOT! It was much longer! We crossed roads, traffics lights and walked looong pathways, only to know that we were late by a few minutes! It took us about 15-20 minutes i think. There, we quickly told the staff at Seafood Paradise that we were here to join friends and then, yeah~ we were the earliest. So much for rushing. Took a picture before heading in, as Wendy kept saying," Do you think they'll let you take their photos?" in a sarcastic way. True.. But then where am i going to find pictures to write about this day??While waiting, i decided to take as many pictures as i can before they come. The chinese tea was great. Although i couldn't differentiate any of the chinese tea available in the market. haha~ Still, it's good for digestion.Okay, this is the S.A.D team, as what Jack, our Logistics Manager called us. I bet if my colleagues ever saw this picture, they would go," Oh, look at them! So tian mi mi!" And know what? Wendy and I would then be pronounced "the bestest best friend ever lived on earth" or "lesbians". It's the office tradition. I don't understand why their "jokes" are so funny, you know, like saying who's best friend with whom and so on. I'm friends and colleagues to anyone who treat me like one. That's all. I could never find best friend in the office, whichever office it might be, because there were too many political issues you have to deal with already, unless it's your childhood best friend who came to work with you. hah~ I hit a point there, didn't I?Everyone reached except Celest and Patricia. And Jen asked for an outside table. So out we went. And had passed my camera to Wailing as she wandered out with Thin Thin and Erica, as they had never come before. Well, neither do I, but I was lazy. heh~ These were what she had taken outside:Erica and Thin Thin ducking for covers. haha~!Wailing, look at your hand! Not professional enough huh. :p Be careful when you're in Japan taking sceneries!
Didn't mange to take a picture of the Flyer myself so i got these from the official website: Singapore FlyerBeautiful isn't it? And the colours changes every few minutes. These were what Wailing called "candid pictures". Everyone was at their most natural state.Okay, these were not candid enough, because i asked them to look over.I asked to take their pictures also but you see? No one's listening.. Oh well...That's Jennifer, Patricia and Celest. Boss got her hair permed. New hairstyle for a new year. Great start isn't it? When will it be my turn?? :p Were waiting for food at this point already. And Celest announced that Wailing and Erica will not be exchanging their duties but Wailing will help Erica in some reports. Well, that's what i heard just then, so correct me if I'm wrong. (:Yes chilli crab. Except it wasn't so spicy enough. And there's a commotion when it was served. There was an insect on the table which kept flying around and no one seemed to be able to catch it. Some even shouted,"Ah! Zang Lang(cockroach)!" Everyone at Patricia's side stood as staffs were trying their best to capture it and it was "caught" eventually. It landed on Jen's plate and the staff exchange her plate for her. At this time, Celest caught Wailing still eating her duck drumstick and said something which i forgot but was funny anyhow. Then they served the butter crab, which looked like creamy mushroom soup poured onto the crab. hur~~
Everyone were busy cracking the shells and i was quite pro at it although it's my first time using it. But then again, the white sauce suddenly splashed onto Wailing's (I'm sorry~! hahaha) and my sleeves. And Wailing was like," I thought you said you were pro!! See lah!" And Celest said that when someone say that he/she is pro at something, normally it meant otherwise. Oh well, i was just trying to joke around, since it's my first time using that caliper-lookalike thing. I felt quite nauseous after the a second serving, but was "asked" to eat a third one and i thought i was going to vomit out whatever content i had eaten earlier on. Thanks guys.. :p (The bun beside it was really delicious though. I don't mind having a plate of my own. haha!)Patricia had the same mindset as I. Well, since we were out somewhere, why not take some pictures to keep for memories? She brought her camera out as well. :DOur pitiful chef (Patricia, second from the right), going out for good food can actually stress her out. Why? Everyone was asking her to cook it the next time. (Yes, we have lunch in office and the good meals were provided by our chef. We then paid her the cost of those ingredients.)Erica is coughing. Thin Thin? Perhaps she just let me take this picture relunctantly. hhaha...The second shot which i requested.Had always wanted to take a photo of Jen and Wendy together. The two were always at loggerheads, harmoniously. hhahah~Our group photos, before we leave the place.See the peace signs? Like a stretch of wave over those people's head. This is cute! After that, we were discussing how were we gonna share taxis. And on our way to the taxi stand, Patricia gathered us (except Jen, she's with Celest at the very front) and on the count of three, we shouted "THANK YOU BOSS". Patricia said that Celest pretended not to know us then. haha~ Then Jen and I quickly rushed to the ladies' before our bladder failed us. By the time we came out and to the taxi stand. Some were gone.
Three taxis and a car in all: Wendy, Thin Thin and Celest (Woodlands & Bt Panjang), Erica, Wailing and I (Commonwealth, Jurong East & Bt Batok), Patricia and Jen (Teban Gardens and Boon Lay) and Jennifer got her own chauffeur - her husband. As I was on the phone talking to Alan, I couldn't really remember who did Cindy went with. Either she followed Jennifer (which I supposed so, since they both stayed around Serangoon), if not she followed Jen's taxi. Either way, everyone went home. When my group finally left the place (we were last to go), I then realised that the Singapore Flyer is located just behind the bus stop where the opposite is the arcade which I used to frequent in my secondary school years in Marina Square. Oh my, how do i simplify this sentence without complicating it? Okay, let's just say walk the opposite direction of Esplanade and walk like you've never walk before and there! you've reached. Shit, just drive a car~!
I got a difficult time trying to sleep that night. Guessed it's because i ate too many crab meat. Should have reject that third piece. I couldn't manage to let it out in any ways and that's insufferable. Good thing is the feeling was gone when i finally fell asleep. :D
