Straits cafe @ Rendevous Hotel - 8th November 2008

Met Lijun and Pinjie straight at Rendevous Hotel. Oh well, it's at the same place when we first met for dinner (we ate at the Coffee Club that time) and I was telling Alan they sure loved Dhoby Ghaut area alot. Anyway, they were treating us to the High Tea Buffet there, so the word "buffet" already captured my interest. Yes you got it right: I LOVE FOOD.

The moment we sat down, the "cups" they used caught my attention. It's a very beautiful clear blue. If only i could bring one home...

Cold Tofu. I loved tofu, cold or hot!The "highlight" (in my opinion) of the whole buffet. They served it freshly enough and it's quite a big portion, compared to Sakae Sushi. If I did not remember wrongly, these drumsticks were the only food Alan ate that day. I kept taking food and asked him whether he wanted to share or not, but he only knew how to shake his head and at the same time scrunched up his face. Well, you missed good things that way. These tarts are worth mentioning. I ate this two, then i went back and take FOUR more. Big-eater eh? hhaha..Lijun started taking all kinds of desserts and i was thinking at that time huh? That's it? Then she said there's no rule saying we couldn't take desserts whenever we like and yeah, that's true..Finally i fished out my handphone (my loverboy forgotten to bring the camera out) again and started to take human instead of food. :p That's Pinjie and Alan. Alan's eating a slice of papaya.Alan and Lijun take a shot at each other. I was telling Alan that her face was blocked, and he said that's the main purpose. Huh? Can anyone explain again? Then it's our turn. Okay i know, my eyes are small..My BEST shot that day. I loved him that way. :DThat cheeky guy. Alan did not even taste the dessert he's holding in hand and yet gave it a thumb-up. This world has changed man, drastically. This was the second best shot. Believe me, I'm ma ultimate Zi Lian Kuang. Love taking my own photos. :p But this was Alan's work, not me!Okay, i admit, this is like damn retarded. My eyes hanging~That chubby cheeks had been haunting me since secondary school, when will they ever go away?!The dessert that i took, just for photo-taking. hhahah...After eating,we went to the toilet. And i did a very very dumb action after i came out from the cubicle: I pressed the tap and blushed when a woman beside me just place her hand under the tap. Argh!! How stupid can a person get!!! When we were out waiting for Lijun, I saw this public phone nearby and took this shot. Wanted more pictures to put up here. Then we set off to Cineleisure. They didn't plan for any movies today and I can tell Alan wanted to hang out longer, that's why Alan ask them whether they had been to the 9th storey where you can book a room and watch their DVD there. On our way, Pinjie met his colleague i think, and they chatted while Alan and i walked around for my brother's present. Then Alan saw his ITE friends at the UOB roadshow. His friend was being so bad, he actually told me," Ni yue lai yue ZHONG le." which means I'm getting fatter literally. Thanks for the comment.

We reached and booked a room for $5.50/hr and a DVD for $6, i think. But then i remember that the guy over the counter was saying $20+...? Never mind me. I've gotten short-term memory.

There's two more computers at the left side, but since we only used the TV...
Bee Movie. A hilariously lame show. hhaha~ Till now i still can remember how lame it is.
We left afterwards. Said we will meet up again sometimes, probably around Christmas or so. Then Alan and I went Tangs since Lijun told me earlier that Tangs had sales on bags. And then came the best part. I spent $45 for a key-chained pouch and $29 on a key-chain for cars (this is for my brother 25th birthday), both from Guy Laroche. Paid $59.20 as there was a 20% deduction. Then saw a Elle bag in gold, but was the last one on shelf but there were some tiny defects but i bought it anyway. That's for my mum, which cost me another $111.20 after the 20%. And then, we went back Cineleisure again.
I was so damn tired already, but i understand Alan was so tired at being cooped up at home so...we watched
The Coffin. I got a fright at the most non-scary part: When Karen went up front, weeped and covered her face with her left hand, she placed her right hand right at the side of the coffin (it was opened, not closed) then the guy in there suddenly touched her hand. hhahah!! Alan laughed at me also. That's the only main part. The rest of the movie was smooth for me, but not Alan. :p

Meeting Huan Ying tomorrow at AMK Hub. Will talk about it more (:
